I did this exercise in class following a detailed instructions. This week we were learning how to manipulate blending modes in Photoshop. For this exercise I followed a tutorial, tried to change the blending modes. This exercise was a great learning experience, as for the first time I attempted to use different blending modes, experiment with the saturation, and create adjustment layers. I learned how to merge images which I believe is incredibly valuable and useful for me as a graphic designer. I do not think that I made any mistakes following the tutorial but I am not happy with the final image. In my opinion, it is overexposed. I should have layered the textured paper layer less times, which I believe would have made the image not as bright and more appealing to the eye. I believe I could have strayed away from the original instructions to get a more professional looking final result.
